1. Who is responsible

DiscoverSponsors is operated by an independent sole proprietorship, which is the data controller for the information described here. Contact: support@discoversponsors.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account: your email address and login credentials (passwords are stored hashed).
  • Your channel and activity: the YouTube channel(s) you add, favorites, saved searches, pitch drafts, outreach status and email preferences.
  • Billing: your plan and subscription status. Card and payment details go to our payment provider, Creem (creem.io), the Merchant of Record — we never see or store them.
  • Technical: server logs (such as IP address and request times) kept for security and troubleshooting.

To build the sponsor database we also process public YouTube channel and video information retrieved through the YouTube Data API, and business contact details for sponsoring brands (such as a company's partnerships email, or the name and work email of a marketing contact) from public sources and enrichment providers.

We may write to a creator at the public business address shown on their YouTube channel to introduce the service. If you ask us to stop, we keep that email address on an opt-out list, and nothing else about you, so that we can check it before we send anything and never write to it again. Links in those emails carry a code so we can count, anonymously, how many visits an email led to; nothing is stored in your browser and it is not linked to an account.

3. How we use it

To provide the service you signed up for (the legal basis is our contract with you): running your account, matching sponsors to your channel, tracking your outreach, and managing your subscription. To send the emails you have opted into, such as digests and alerts, each with a one-click unsubscribe link. And, based on our legitimate interest, to keep the service secure and improve it, and to introduce it to creators at their public business address (every such email has an opt-out link). We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.

4. YouTube API Services

DiscoverSponsors uses YouTube API Services to read public channel and video information, including the channel you add to your account. We do not access your private YouTube account data. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy, and use of YouTube content is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service.

5. Service providers

We share information only with providers that run parts of the service for us:

  • Hetzner (Finland) — servers and database hosting.
  • Cloudflare — DNS, email forwarding and backup storage.
  • Creem (creem.io), our payment provider — checkout, payments, invoicing and tax, as Merchant of Record.
  • Resend — sending account and notification emails.
  • Anthropic — drafting pitch emails, only when you use the AI pitch feature.
  • Google (YouTube Data API) — public channel and video information.
  • People Data Labs, Anymailfinder — finding business contacts for sponsoring brands.

Some of these providers process data outside your country and the EU; where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Cookies and analytics

We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in and the site working. We do not use advertising cookies. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not store personal information. So that we know which page, search engine or email brought a new member, your browser keeps a note of the first page you landed on and the site that linked to it; it is copied to your account once, when you sign up, and then deleted. It is not a cookie and is never sent with other requests.

7. How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted when you delete your account (from your profile page, or by asking us). Database backups are kept for up to 7 days, so deleted data leaves the backups within that time. Billing records are kept by Creem for as long as tax law requires.

8. Your rights

You can delete your account and its data yourself from your profile page. You can also ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@discoversponsors.com. You can manage email preferences on your profile page or use the unsubscribe link in any email. If we wrote to you and you do not have an account, the opt-out page stops all further email to your address. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data-protection authority (in the EU or UK, your local authority).

If you are listed as a sponsor contact: we hold only business contact details relating to your role at a brand. Email us and we will remove or correct them.

If your channel or brand is listed: the information comes from public YouTube videos. To have your channel or brand removed from DiscoverSponsors, email support@discoversponsors.com from an address linked to the channel or brand, and we will remove it within 30 days.

9. Children

DiscoverSponsors is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We will announce material changes to this policy by email before they take effect and update the date at the top of this page. See also the Terms of Use and the Refund Policy.
