How to find YouTube sponsors for an entertainment or commentary channel (2026)

The eight brands that sponsor the most entertainment and commentary channels, how small they go, and what to do when your niche sells reach rather than buyers.

Entertainment is the hardest big niche on YouTube to get sponsored in, and it helps to know that before you pitch. Of the entertainment-tagged channels with 10K–1M subscribers in the DiscoverSponsors index (read through the official YouTube Data API), 46% had at least one paid sponsor in the last year. Tech channels are at 73%, outdoor channels at 65%, gaming at 68%.

The reason is what you sell. A camera channel sells a viewer who is shopping for a camera. A commentary, reaction, challenge or sketch channel sells attention, and attention is bought by a different kind of brand: subscription apps, meal kits, VPNs and earbuds that want reach and measure it with a code. Those brands pay, and they pay a lot of channels, but they prefer big ones. The table below shows both halves of that.

Look at the last column. In the gear niches, half or more of a top brand's partners are under 100K subscribers. Here it is 6% to 19%. Zocdoc sponsored more entertainment channels than any other brand and almost none of them were small. These sponsors buy views, and a 30K-subscriber commentary channel does not have enough of them to move a brand's numbers.

The brands just below the table are more open. Holy Energy (57 channels, 23% under 100K) and Quince (42 channels, 21% under 100K) have the highest small-channel shares among the top sponsors, with NordVPN, Factor and Saily next. CyberGhost VPN (56 channels), Rocket Money (50), FlexiSpot (48), Helix Sleep (47) and Aura (42) complete the list of brands that sponsor forty or more entertainment channels a year.

Two ways in for a smaller channel

  • Pitch the reach buyers on cost, not size. Zocdoc, Factor, Surfshark and the rest buy by the thousand views and track by code. A 40K channel whose videos reliably reach 60K views is a cheaper buy than a 200K channel that reaches 50K, and the pitch should say so with numbers. Lead with typical views on your last ten videos and your audience's countries, because these brands only pay for a few markets.
  • Borrow a topic niche. More than a hundred of the sponsored entertainment channels in the index also carry a gaming, food, travel or education tag, and those channels get the product brands as well as the reach brands. A commentary channel about games is a gaming channel to a peripherals brand; a reaction channel about food is a food channel to a cookware brand. If your content leans one way, say so in the pitch and borrow that niche's sponsor list (gaming, cooking, travel).

How to find the ones that fit your channel

  • Start with the brands sponsoring channels your size. Every brand in the table has sponsored an entertainment channel at 41.1K subscribers or fewer, and five of the eight at under 21K, so the door is not closed; it is narrow.
  • Prefer the brands with a higher under-100K share. Holy Energy, Quince, NordVPN, Factor and Saily are where small entertainment channels actually get paid. The entertainment sponsor page lists each brand with its sponsored videos as evidence, so you can see the size of channel it works with before you pitch.
  • Match the placement these brands expect. Reach buyers want a host read of 60 to 90 seconds in the first third of the video, with a code and a link. Watch two of a brand's sponsored videos to see the length and position it is used to, then offer the same.
  • Check the arrangement. A discount code in a description can be an affiliate link rather than a paid integration. Two or three of the brand's sponsored videos will show you which.

Pitch with the numbers

Entertainment brands judge a channel on delivery, so the pitch is a short media kit. Send typical views on your last ten videos (not subscribers), audience countries and age bands, average view duration, and the video or series the read would go in. Name the position and length of the read. Keep the creative to one line; these brands have a script and will send it. Build the video so it works without the deal; a brand's interest is not a confirmed partnership.

For matches ranked by your own channel's size, language and niche, add your channel. For the general method, see how to find sponsors for your YouTube channel.

About the data

Counts are distinct entertainment-tagged channels with 10K–1M subscribers and a paid sponsored video published in the last year, from public video information retrieved through the official YouTube Data API. Sponsored means the description or paid-promotion disclosure names the brand that paid for the integration; affiliate-only placements are excluded. Subscriber counts are current. A detected sponsorship is not confirmation of contract terms.
