How to find YouTube sponsors for a photography or filmmaking channel (2026)
The eight brands that sponsor the most photography and filmmaking channels, the smallest channel each worked with, and why 82% of this niche gets paid.

Photography and filmmaking channels have the highest sponsorship rate of any niche in the DiscoverSponsors index. Of the photography-tagged channels with 10K–1M subscribers we track (read through the official YouTube Data API), 82% had at least one paid sponsor in the last year. The niche is small, but almost every channel in it gets paid.
The reason is simple: the viewer is a buyer. Someone watching a lens review or a colour-grading tutorial is shopping for gear and software, and the brands that make them know exactly where to find that viewer.
The brands that sponsor the most photography channels
| Brand | What it sells | Photography channels sponsored | Smallest channel sponsored | Share of those channels under 100K |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DJI | Drones, gimbals, cameras | 54 | 10.9K subs | 28% |
| Insta360 | 360 and action cameras | 48 | 11.2K subs | 44% |
| SmallRig | Rigs, cages, tripods | 43 | 10.1K subs | 40% |
| Squarespace | Portfolio websites | 39 | 10.7K subs | 23% |
| UGREEN | Chargers, hubs, storage | 38 | 10.7K subs | 39% |
| Luminar Neo | Photo editing software | 38 | 12.5K subs | 53% |
| DxO | RAW processing software | 36 | 10.2K subs | 69% |
| Zhiyun | Gimbals and lights | 29 | 10.1K subs | 83% |
The list splits into hardware and software, and the two behave differently. Hardware brands like DJI and Insta360 sponsor the most channels but lean towards larger ones. Software brands are the opening for small creators: 69% of DxO's photography partners and 53% of Luminar Neo's have fewer than 100K subscribers, because an editing tutorial converts at any channel size. Zhiyun is the hardware exception, with 83% of its partners under 100K.
Just below the table sit the accessory brands that live on small channels: PGYTECH (28 channels), Neewer (28), SIRUI (25) and Viltrox (25). Each has sponsored a channel at or just above 10K subscribers.
Where a sponsor fits in a photography video
Three formats carry almost all the sponsorships in this niche. A gear review or comparison is the obvious home for hardware, and the brand often supplies the unit. A tutorial or edit-along is the home for software: the sponsor's tool is the one you edit in, on screen, for the whole video. A behind-the-scenes shoot or a travel photo trip is where accessories, bags, lights and portfolio sites appear, because the viewer sees them in use.
The placements that keep their audience are the ones where the product does real work in the video. A software sponsor read over B-roll loses viewers; the same software used to grade the footage they are watching does not.
How to find the ones that fit your channel
- Start with the brands sponsoring channels your size. Every brand in the table has sponsored a photography channel at 12.5K subscribers or fewer, and six of the eight under 11K.
- Lead with software if you are small. DxO, Luminar Neo and Skillshare (28 photography channels, 61% under 100K) take tutorial channels that hardware brands pass over.
- Match the format. The photography sponsor page lists each brand with its sponsored videos as evidence, so you can see whether it sponsors reviews, tutorials or shoot vlogs before you pitch.
- Check the arrangement. A discount code in a description can be an affiliate link rather than a paid integration. Two or three of the brand's sponsored videos will show you which.
Pitch with the footage
Photography brands judge a channel on the image quality of the channel itself, so the pitch is the work. Send the audience (countries, age bands, typical views on comparable videos), the planned video, the exact moment the product appears, and two of your best recent videos. For hardware, say what you would test and against what. For software, say which part of your workflow it replaces on screen. Build the video so it works without the deal; a brand's interest is not a confirmed partnership.
For matches ranked by your own channel's size, language and niche, add your channel. For the general method, see how to find sponsors for your YouTube channel.
About the data
Counts are distinct photography-tagged channels with 10K–1M subscribers and a paid sponsored video published in the last year, from public video information retrieved through the official YouTube Data API. Sponsored means the description or paid-promotion disclosure names the brand that paid for the integration; affiliate-only placements are excluded. Subscriber counts are current. A detected sponsorship is not confirmation of contract terms.
