Plan your 2027 YouTube sponsorships: what the last year of sponsor data shows, a month-by-month pitching calendar, the brands to watch and a checklist.

Sponsorships for 2027 are planned in the last months of 2026. Brands set their creator budgets for the new year in November and December, and the channels that are already on a brand's shortlist in January are the ones that get the first deals. This guide uses a year of sponsored videos from more than 55K channels to show when brands buy, which brands are growing their creator programs, and what to prepare so you are ready before the year starts.
What the last year tells us about 2027
From July 2025 to August 2026, the number of channels in our index with a sponsored video in a month grew by about 70%, from 7.6K to 13.1K. The number of distinct brands sponsoring in a month grew from 6.6K to 11.1K over the same period. Part of that is our index growing, but the brand count rising alongside it means more companies are putting money into creator integrations, not just the same few brands buying more.
Three patterns from that year are the most useful for planning 2027:
- January is a step up, not a blip. Channels with a sponsored video went from 8.6K in December to 9.6K in January, and active brands from 6.7K to 8.4K, and neither came back down.
- Spring builds to a June peak. Activity rose steadily from March and topped out in June at 13.1K channels and 11.1K brands.
- Smaller channels are part of the market. In our index, 53.5% of channels with 10K–50K subscribers have at least one sponsor, and several of the most active brands work mostly with channels under 100K.
The full curve is in YouTube sponsorships by month. If the 2027 pattern follows 2026, the best moments to pitch are early December and February.
Your 2027 sponsor calendar
Use the year's shape as a calendar. Each step takes an hour or two a week.
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| October–November 2026 | Build a shortlist of 20 brands that sponsored channels like yours in the last 90 days. Update your media kit with this year's numbers. |
| Early December 2026 | Send your first pitches for January campaigns, each with one specific video idea. |
| January 2027 | Follow up once. Deliver any first integrations and collect the results. |
| February–March 2027 | Pitch the spring campaigns that peak in June, starting with brands that are adding channels. |
| April–June 2027 | Deliver, ask happy sponsors for a repeat deal, and use the results in new pitches. |
| July–August 2027 | Pitch back-to-school and autumn campaigns; refresh your shortlist with the brands that ramped up in the spring. |
| September–November 2027 | Pitch holiday campaigns, and start the 2028 shortlist. |
Brands to watch going into 2027
Two kinds of brands are worth a place on a 2027 shortlist: brands that are active across many channels right now, and brands whose creator rosters are growing fastest.
The most active in our latest ranking, by distinct channels over 90 days, were Quince, BetterHelp, Zocdoc, Saily and Incogni. Among the top 25, four brands had more than half of their observed channels under 100K subscribers: BLUETTI (63.1%), Halara (59.6%), SHEIN (58.3%) and Temu (50.9%). See the 25 most active YouTube sponsors in 2026 for the full list.
The fastest-growing between spring and summer 2026 included Ultra Pouches, Bagsmart, Perelel, CASETiFY, Cash App and CookUnity, each of which sponsored at least twice as many channels in June–August as in March–May. A brand that is still adding channels has an open budget and a team that is saying yes, which makes it a better first pitch than a brand every list already names.
Rankings move every month. The sponsor leaderboards show the current top sponsors by country and niche, and sponsor categories list the brands sponsoring each niche with the videos as evidence.
The method in five steps
The process that works in 2027 is the same one that worked in 2026. In brief:
- Know your odds. Check what share of channels at your size and in your niche have a sponsor, so you know whether to expect a first deal or a repeat one.
- Find brands that already sponsor channels like yours, ranked by how many different channels they sponsor rather than by how big they are.
- Check the deal. Open two or three of a brand's sponsored videos: dedicated segment or affiliate link, smallest channel sponsored, last sponsored video date.
- Pitch a specific video, with your real median views, the audience, and the segment you will deliver.
- Price and time it. Quote one number from a realistic range, agree the deliverables in writing, and pitch in early December and February.
Every step, with the data, a pitch template, a media kit checklist and pricing models, is in the complete guide: how to find YouTube sponsors in 2026.
What to have ready before January
- A one-page media kit with your median views on your last ten long-form videos, average view duration, and top audience countries and ages.
- Three upcoming video ideas where a product would fit naturally, so every pitch can name a specific video.
- A shortlist of 20 brands, each with one comparable channel they sponsored and one sentence on why your audience fits.
- A price range from the rate calculator and a short list of what you will and will not do in a segment.
- A business email address and a simple way to track who you pitched and when to follow up.
Frequently asked questions
Is October too early to pitch for 2027? No. October and November are when brands plan the next quarter, so it is the right time to build relationships and get on a shortlist. Send the specific pitch in early December.
Will there be more YouTube sponsorships in 2027? We can't predict the market, but in the last year both the number of channels with a sponsored video in a month and the number of brands sponsoring them grew. If that continues, there will be more brands to pitch, and more competition for each one.
Do I need more subscribers before 2027? Not necessarily. Steady views and a clear audience matter more than a milestone; 27.5% of channels with 1K–10K subscribers in our index already have a sponsor.
Should I use a sponsorship platform? It can help with a first deal. We compare the options in the best YouTube sponsorship sites and platforms.

About the data
Every figure here comes from public video information retrieved through the official YouTube Data API, covering July 2025 to October 2026. A video counts as sponsored when its description or paid-promotion disclosure names the brand that paid for the integration. Channels with sponsors are easier to discover than channels without, so percentages are upper bounds, and the patterns of past years are not a forecast. A detected sponsorship is not confirmation of contract terms or of a brand's willingness to sponsor your channel.
